About Us

Who We Are

Division 33 is a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary area support unit operating in District 8's Western Rivers Region of the United States.  We are a civilian, non-military component of the U.S. Coast Guard.  The Coast Guard Auxiliary directly supports the Coast Guard in all of it's missions except military and law enforcement actions.

What We Do

Our fundamental mission is to provide Administrative, Training, Communication, and Supervisory Support to the Flotillas within our Area Of Responsibility (AOR).  This AOR includes the State of Nebraska, and the western edge of the State of Iowa, the very heart of the central plains region.

When We Meet

The Division Board meets once every month throughout the calendar year.  In instances where attendance is impractical, the Division Board may transact routine business by mail.  The current monthly meeting schedule is the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00p.m.  To be most responsive to our members needs, the Division Board meets together with the Division Staff during the odd numbered months of the year (January, March, May, July, September, and November).

Publications

The Division produces a quarterly magazine for its members called the "Missouri River Skipper".  The publication includes a message from the Division Captain and articles from Division staff and individual Flotillas within the division.
